Associate Professor Department of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering
Dr. Peng Yu received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1999 and 2002 respectively, and then went to Singapore to study. In 2007, he received his doctor's degree from the Department of mechanical engineering of National University of Singapore. From July 2007 to April 2010, he worked as a researcher at the National University of Singapore; from April 2010 to October 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Sydney; from October 2011 to October 2015, he successively worked as a scientist at the data storage research institute and the high performance computing research Institute under the scientific research bureau of Singapore; in October 2015, he returned to China and served as an associate professor of South University of science and technology.
Research fields include:
---computational fluid dynamics; porous media flow; numerical heat transfer; fluid solid coupling.
Mainly engaged in computational fluid dynamics and numerical heat transfer research. Committed to create more efficient, more accurate and stable CFD computing platforms, and use these platforms to study the hydrodynamics and heat transfer problems in the basic and application fields. No matter in algorithm innovation or using these algorithms, we have made outstanding contributions to the research of basic field or practical application direction. In particular, the developed porous media algorithm has been recognized by the international peers.
