The complex flow and soft matter research center (fluid Center), established in February 2019, is affiliated to the school of engineering of South University of science and technology. It is one of the world's first-class interdisciplinary scientific research centers built by South University of science and technology. Through the allocation of world-class scientific and technological talents and R & D equipment, the fluid center is committed to building itself into an international research center and a gathering place of high-level innovative talents in the field of complex flow and soft matter research. Through global recruitment, fluid center has initially formed an international research team. At present, there are 14 independent PI in fluid center, including 2 chair professors, 8 associate professors and 4 assistant professors. All of them have overseas study and work experience, including many international scholars and national high-level talents. Fluid center plans to complete the construction of core talent team and basic scientific research platform within 5 years, develop stably in 10 years, form distinctive characteristics in the field of complex flow and soft matter, promote the cross development of related disciplines, and actively serve the national and regional economy, so as to become a research center with important influence at home and abroad. Fluid Center welcomes excellent scholars from home and abroad to visit and exchange.
